Role Overview

We seek an experienced Finance Director to lead Four Corporation’s financial strategy, operations, and risk management. This critical role involves managing financial health, compliance, financing, and investments while aligning with the company’s strategic goals. Reporting directly to the Founder and executive team, the Finance Director will be responsible for financial governance, multi-jurisdictional compliance, investment structuring, and strategic planning to support the company’s growth and investment initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
‍

1. Financial Strategy & Planning

• Develop and execute financial strategies to drive growth, profitability, and capital efficiency.
• Lead on budgeting, forecasting, and investment initiatives to support decision-making.
• Optimize tax planning and structuring across multiple jurisdictions.
• Establish and manage relationships with international and regional banks for trade finance and capital access. ‍

2. Financial Operations & Compliance

• Oversee accounting, cash flow management, and financial reporting in compliance with IFRS/GAAP.
• Develop financial models and investment analysis frameworks for internal and external projects.
• Contribute to investor presentations, pitch decks, and business plans, ensuring solid financial foundations.
• Maintain good standing with local authorities across a portfolio of companies covering multiple jurisdictions (i.e., filing company accounts).
• Liaise with external accountants and advisors to maintain compliance across multiple regions.
• Supervise payroll, employment-related payments, and severance processes.
  

3. Risk Management & Governance

• Implement and oversee internal financial controls, audits, and risk management frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with international regulatory and tax requirements.
• Identify and mitigate financial, operational, trading, and investment risks.‍

‍4. Investments & Trade Finance

• Source and secure institutional trade finance for the commodities business.
• Optimize working capital and financial structuring for investment and market expansion initiatives.
• Support global trade operations by ensuring efficient financial planning and execution.
  

5. Strategic Business Support

• Provide financial insights to drive business expansion, supply chain, and logistics strategies.
• Work with leadership to evaluate and structure new investment opportunities.
• Support investor communications and capital-raising initiatives.
  

6. Leadership & Future Team Development

• Independently manage all financial functions while ensuring efficiency and strategic alignment.
• Establish scalable financial processes to support future team expansion and business growth.
• As the company grows, hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.

Qualifications & Experience

• 10+ years of financial leadership experience, ideally within commodities, investment management, or multi-jurisdictional finance.
• Proven track record in trade finance, capital structuring, and tax optimization.
• Experience working with private investment firms or global trading businesses.
• Strong knowledge of financial governance, risk management, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Expertise in financial modeling, investment analysis, and corporate finance.
• CPA, CFA, ACA, or equivalent qualification is preferred.
